Conflicting testimony at Police Court led to dismissal of a disorderly conduct charge against Marty Bruce of Frederick area after a ticket misunderstanding at a fair gate. Officer Hobbs testified the ticket expired in the afternoon. Bruce claimed the ticket allowed entry any day.

Judge Arthur D. Willard annulled the 1932 marriage of Nicholas Yinger and Lola Zimmerman on grounds Yinger lacked sound mind at marriage. The petition was filed by Yinger’s mother Mrs Fine enre M Yinger. the wife, 38, had filed a petition two months after the wedding alleging mental unsoundness. Two physicians certified concerns, while some witnesses said no evident mental issues. Renn S Harp represented the plaintiff.

Police report a seven year old boy was found strangled and stuffed into a trunk in a shabby shack near a canal. Detectives investigated the scene after the discovery around 9 o clock last night. A gatekeeper and patrols joined the inquiry as authorities sought clues and the motive behind the brutal killing.

A large still and making equipment were found Wednesday evening on Grover Horine near Myersville. A Hagerstown agent said the operation had long plagued Horine, with authorities finding repeats of past stills. Horine admitted running the setup and was charged with operating a still without consent and was to appear before Commissioner D Angle Wa in Hagerstown for a hearing.
