Sandy Hook Bridge Over Potomac Near Ready For Use
The new Sandy Hook bridge over the Potomac near Hillsboro connects Virginia to the county road system. The 2,240 foot structure stands about 90 feet high and is largely complete aside from final balustrades and painting. Traffic can use the bridge while finishing touches continue. The project cost well over a million dollars with the Maryland approach already finished.
