Accident at Frederick Fair sparks damage suit
A Frederick County circuit suit seeks 15000 for injuries from a runaway race horse at the 1946 Frederick Fair. Plaintiff Lewis A. Bartley of Staunton alleges serious neck and jaw lacerations after a draw-gate breach allowed a horse to bolt into spectators. A second suit for 1500 in damages stems from a November 1946 auto collision in a Clarke Place alley involving Nu Maid Products Inc and driver Beckley.
