Big mural on Ohio barn celebrates agriculture as big business
Ohio farmers financed a 75 by 53 foot mural on Terry Hater’s barn near State Routes 309 and 37. The painting features a giant ear of corn a soybean plant and a large John Deere tractor to spotlight agriculture as a major local industry. The 20000 dollar project was aided by the Ohio Farm Bureau and the group Americans for Fairness of Agriculture which includes about 40 large farmers who say big farms boost profits. The mural is visible to about 2000 vehicles daily and is the largest project by the group.
