Couple Has Honeymoon Trouble Here
A young Michigan couple married in Frederick faced trouble on their wedding night. Rubert L. Coombs 21, of Pontiac Michigan was involved in a collision with a car owned by Russell McGee near Thurmort at Third and Bentz streets. Coombs lacked insurance and had his car impounded to cover damages. He posted 2.50 in collateral and later raised 50 cash to release the wrecked vehicle. Coombs and Norma L. Croom 16 were married Monday by a local minister and left for an undisclosed honeymoon site. State Police reported Coombs was sought on a West Virginia fugitive warrant tied to a felony charge. Coombs has been unavailable since the car was released.
