Higher impact fees urged in Frederick County plan
Frederick County budget officer Mark Sweadner asked commissioners to raise the single family home impact fee from 2000 to 3900 to cover school, road, park, library and bridge projects in the six year plan. He proposed extending the fee to non residential development and exempting commercial properties under current rules. He cited constrained general fund and bond funding for capital improvements and warned future budgets may require new revenue sources.

State urges 2.8 million in county school projects
