New Market considers cheaper town water system option
Town officials released a 23 page cost analysis showing a town operated water system could cost less than the county estimate. Kettler Bros Inc funded part for Royal Oaks and the town would use certificates and sale of town land to pay for portions of the system. Engineers challenge costs, noting needed wells and pumping station size may raise figures. The mayor defends the analyses amid ongoing debate over the water system plan.
