Five Little Rock school board members resign over integration
Five members of the Little Rock School Board say the integration issue left them in a hopeless, frustrated position. They resign as the Dec 6 election approaches, leaving Dr. W. G. Cooper Jr and Virgil T. Blossom’s contracts at stake. The board terminated Blossom's contract and planned a $19,741 payout for the remaining nine months.
