Arthur P. Trout and Mrs. Eleanor Grace Trou acquire Masser’s Motel and Restaurant on U.S. 40 formerly operated by J. W. and Hazel E. Masser who retire November 20 to Eau Gallie Florida. The Massers opened May 29 1950 after eight years of construction costing about 200000 dollars. The Trouts previously ran a Woodsboro farm and store and a Bedford hotel and ten cent store before relocating to Frederick County twelve years ago. They began operating the business last Monday after purchasing it last Friday. A new electric motor claim notes extended continuous high temperature operation.

The vessel is eight by twenty-two feet, with a cabin heated in winter, containing many broken glass jars valued at 0. The boat was built during a year-long project in the builder’s workshop.
