New Market to seek new planning commissioners
New Market officials plan to replace three planning commission members who missed three meetings in the last year. Chairman Edgar W. Rossig Jr. asked the town council to act as quorum problems halted business at the last two meetings. Names cited include Wil Ryscusues, Iage Ramsburg, and Nancy Watkins. If no quorum emerges, all members may be replaced. The council also approved a residential service zone for churches, schools, and play grounds, urging the planning commission to set setbacks later. Frederick Insurance will insure town operations with broader coverage and replacement-cost valuations.
