The tds committee named Gene Johnston as chair and each company chose one representative for the proposed county unit board. Seven ambulance firms attended Brunswick Carroll Manor and others, outlining membership for the new board and discussing soil treatment differences for lawns.
Seven of nine invited ambulance units attended the inaugural meeting at Frederick’s United Fire Company. Lenwood Cross of Brunswick Ambulance Co was elected temporary president of the county unit. Temporary officers include Moss as president, Gene Johnson of Carroll Manor as vice president, Bernard Williams of Brunswick as secretary, Robert Renner of Woodsboro as treasurer, and Bruce Jones of Hyattstown as chaplain. Dr James Marrone named training committee chair.
