West Patrick Plans For New Shopping Mart and City Parking OK
The City Planning Commission approved plans for a West Patrick Shopping Center owned by Jerry Strong and for expanded downtown parking. The project includes screening from residences and a B-1 zoning adjustment. A 450-car lot behind the Professional Building and multiple smaller lots are proposed to add over 300 spaces citywide. A parking authority was advocated to fund lots without taxing the city.
