Historic panel approves Bussard Workshop metal building
Frederick Maryland historic district commission approved a 2000 square foot prefabricated metal building for the Jeanne Bussard Workshop on West South Street. The panel backed planting around the site and deferred color and size of the sign for further study while confirming the project fits guidelines and fire code. The workshop trains about 70 handicapped workers and faces a federal wage law probe. The commission also granted a Merill Lynch office sign permit, a six month door change at Market Street, and allowed removal of a wooden shed at Patrick Street.
