Adoption and medical care notes for Baby C at Frederick County
A heart condition prompts specialist referral and pre examination tests including x rays. On October 22 at Frederick Memorial Hospital further x rays fluoroscope observations and a blood transfusion occurred. Baby C admitted as condition worsened and more transfusions and tests followed. A volunteer offered to replace used blood and hospital expenses may be covered by State or hospital aid until adoption readiness is declared. The secretary reports four children accepted to CAS care in October and nine others, including one adopted, transferred from care. The president notes about half of the $5,000 annual fund-raising goal for 1951 has been collected countywide, not in Frederick City. The CAS semi-annual meeting followed.
