Zoning Board Grants Permit to Earl M. Haines
The Zoning Board of Appeals granted Earl M. Haines permission to build a three room tourist structure at 501 West Patrick Street rear of his property. Porter's Cabins, owned with Alberta Haines, faced a $5,000 to $10,000 value loss claim from neighbor James Porter, who protested the 20 foot setback. The case arose in Residential C area as zoning law evolves. Martinsburg officials attended as the zoning commission reviews elastic, outdated rules.
