Timber Rights Sold Near Catoctin Furnace
Stanley Hauver and Lancelot Jacques bought 11 timber rights on about 4700 acres of the Catoctin Furnace tract from George Trexler of Catoctin Furnace. Trexler plans to move one stave mill near Deerfield and dispose of two others. The trio had previously acquired the timber rights and later sold timber from 5000 acres to Trexler, who operated stave mills and paid around 7500 dollars for the timber.
