Building corp suit dismissed over maintenance fee dispute near New Market
A three day jury trial brought by Brosius Home Corp against Lake Linganore Association over unpaid maintenance fees was dismissed by Judge Samuel W Bar. The case rested on an oral agreement between Brosius as association president and himself as homeowners association president for road upkeep at Lake Linganore Eaglehead, with $11,434 claimed plus interest for snow removal and repairs. Evidence included work time sheets from 1975. The defense contended statute of limitations and lack of contract or 1968 payment proof. The court granted directed judgment for the association.

Chesapeake Beach fades to a bedroom community fate
Chesapeake Beach Maryland, once a grand seaside resort built around rail links and slot gaming, now struggles as a relic of pre automobile leisure. The town shifts toward a Washington commuter base with plans for 90 new housing units and suburban growth while the old park remains vandalized and closed.
