The McCurdy Memorial Park Fund Drive reached the 50 percent mark with about 25 000 dollars of the 50 000 dollar goal. The Braddock Heights Community pool opens Saturday May 29 at noon with early summer hours of noon to 6 pm on May 29 30 31 and June 5 6. Daily hours begin June 12. Membership cards required and may be obtained at the pool. only members and guests may use the pool. The pool is run by the Braddock Heights Community Association with Vernon Cassell Jr as pool chairman and Mrs Jack Griffin as season manager. membership is fully subscribed with a waiting list for next year.

Suspect Arrested In Slaying Of Nine
In Yuba City California the bodies of nine transient fruit workers were found buried in two local orchards.
