Rural Hospital Benefit in Dorchester County
The piece argues capital favors or disfavors in politics and stresses the obvious advantages of a local rural hospital. If a farmer or oyster worker in Dorchester is seriously injured they would need local hospital care, as Baltimore or distant facilities may be impossible to reach. The plan relieves metropolitan institutions and helps distribute state funds to smaller hospitals.
