MontCo delays disposal site decision on sewage sludge
Montgomery County Council again postpones choosing a sludge disposal site and schedules a May 22 public hearing. Germantown’s Flook's Farm on Schaeffer Road and Site 216 near Ednor Road and New Hampshire Avenue are considered for temporary trenching with WSSC testing cross trench feasibility. Also eyed is a northern park property now used for dairy farming and a possible option to buy land near NIH Animal Research Farm in Poolesville as a future solution.
