Walkersville considers 1992 budget with tax cut

Walkersville may lower its property tax rate from 47 to 45 cents per $100 of assessed value if the proposed fiscal 1992 budget passes on May 22. The plan shows general revenue of $817,843, expenditures of $711,055, and a $106,788 surplus, soon to be spent on capital improvements. Salaries rise to $100,349. grants increase to $62,945 while state open space grants fall about $59,000.
