Zoning Board Hears Appeals On Cement Plant Plan
The Frederick County Zoning Appeals board opened a lengthy session considering two residential zone special permissions for a cement batching plant and a separate special permit. The United Construction Supply Company proposed a dust free, low-noise, automated plant with a 36 foot height on a 100 by 12 foot site near Harmony Grove, attracting objections from neighbors and local officials about traffic and industrial impact.
