Long lived Beasley couple share century plus of life on farm
The aging Beasley pair, over a hundred years old, have spent 75 years in the same home. Mrs. Beasley notes cows across thirty seven generations, and both enjoy coffee and dominoes. He recalls oxen and guitar work west of the Alleghenies, while tabloids and photographers keep life busy. he declines to comment on longevity claims. Annual Meeting of State Holstein Friesian Cattle Association Held
A large crowd attended the State Holstein Friesian Association banquet and sale at Rockville with about 150 breeders present from across the state. Officers elected included John M Dennis Jr as president Homer Remsburg as vice president and John Farr as secretary treasurer. Forty two cattle sold for prices from 345 to 455 with total sales of 5706. County Agent Peter Chichester noted plans to host next year’s banquet and sale locally.
