A mountain fire burned about six acres of dry woodland near Harmony on Saturday amid extreme dryness. Forest Supervisor Herman Toms cited careless mushroom hunters as the likely cause and noted the area was mostly oak and poplar on land owned by John Leatherman of Middletown. No insured buildings were affected, and authorities warned of continued fire risk with no rain expected.
