Citizens League Polls on Maryland Candidates
The Citizens Committee For Better Maryland Government in Monrovia circulated a survey of positions by Democratic Senate contenders Louis L. Goldstein and Joseph D. Tydings on three moral issues. It notes Goldstein backed slot machine bills in Calvert County in 1948 and 1951 while Tydings backed a 1961 bill for statewide abolition and warned of corruption from slot machines. The survey also addresses equal accommodations and legislative reapportionment, with human rights as a topic.
