CSR plant hinges on Jobs Pathway funding

CSR plans a $154 million four mile eastern loop around Frederick to locate between Gas House Pike and Md 26 with 100 new jobs if the state funds the Jobs Pathway project. The plan requires $4 million for a Mono cacy River bridge in fiscal 2000 and early funding from Frederick County and the city. J O Neill Jenkins would contribute $13 million in fiscal 1999 as landowner. Frederick Mayor Jim Grimes cites CSR as a world leader in building materials.

Police plan seat belt enforcement campaign

A Maryland ceremony in Annapolis featured Gov Parris Glendening and State Police highlighting seat belt saves as Hannah Faragalla, a three month old in an infant seat, and her family joined the kickoff of a statewide effort. Mega development planned for Urbana

Urbana residents heard details of a 212 to 250 acre mixed use planned unit development between Md 355 and 1270 west of Urbana. The project could include 1 to 12 million square feet of offices and 450000 square feet of retail and entertainment, plus a 24 screen movie complex behind Turning Point Inn.
