Frederick County Incentives to Build Schools Signed
Gov Parris Glendening signed a bill enabling Frederick County to offer financial incentives to private developers to build schools. The county may forgive local property taxes on land leased to the county for school purposes, effective July 1. The plan aims to meet APFO requirements and provide future school capacity without immediate new builds.
