Three Escape Injury In Plane Accident
Stanley N. Brown of Leesburg Virginia director of the Koppers Company escaped injury when a company plane collapsed on its landing gear at a Baltimore municipal airport. Brown and a Pittsburgh crew, pilot Byron Q. Vancott and co-pilot Arthur Ulrich, slid along the runway on the belly at 100 miles an hour for about 1000 feet. The craft would have been airborne in ten more seconds. Walter F. Perkins, Baltimore plant general manager, was aboard to be dropped at Washington after the flight from Pittsburgh.
