Rites For Pfc. Sweeney To Be Held On Sunday
The remains of Pfc. Raymond W. Sweeney arrive Thursday for reinterment at Mount Olivet cemetery. Military services are set for Sunday at two at the funeral home on East Patrick street. He died at 19 after being wounded in Belgium on September 13 1944. He entered service in May 1943 trained at Camp Shelby and went overseas in April 1944 with Company F 18th Infantry Division. He was born in Thurmont and survived by parents brothers sisters and other relatives. Funeral directors C. E. Cline and Son will handle arrangements.
