Bill restricts club liquor licenses in Frederick County
A House bill introduced by the Frederick county delegation would limit on premise beer wine and liquor licenses to bona fide fraternal charitable and veteran groups or those active for at least three years. Proponents say the measure preserves the 1933 intent to ban saloons and enjoys broad local support. In a separate incident an automobile fire near Chestnut Grove damaged upholstery in Henry Grushon’s car Union Bridge. An infant in the rear seat was unharmed as firefighters extinguished the blaze all damage insured.
