Ramsburg proposes amendment to route detailed budgets through Fiscal Research Bureau
Delegate Jacob S. Ramsburg of Frederick County proposes amending a Baltimore County bill to require all state agencies to report detailed budgets to the Fiscal Research Bureau. The move aims to clarify budget data for lawmakers and keep the University of Maryland in reporting. He argues layman access harms understanding and that the bureau can study and supply usable figures. He notes the amendment would not single out the University and would align with the Bureau’s duties.
