The Maryland Department of Agriculture will process special local needs registrations for agricultural pesticides after EPA authorization. Secretary Young D. Hance and Ronald L. Johnson cite Maryland’s need for state authority to approve registrations for local uses not covered by EPA labels. A technical expert committee will review each application per EPA rules.
