Sophomore from FCC convicted of sunglasses shoplifting
A 20 year old Frederick Community College sophomore, Jack Lee Alexander of Taneytown, was found guilty in District Court of shoplifting sunglasses from Woolworth's at the Frederick Shopping Center after three clerks and the store manager testified he left the store with a pair. The defense argued lack of witness ID for the particular glasses and no concealment. Judge Bennett imposed a $50 fine after denying probation without verdict.
