Food Additives Talk Spurs Homemakers Meeting Series
Monocacy Village and area clubs held meetings on food additives nutrition and labeling. Speakers covered FDA roles, sugar and salt consumption, and reading labels while planning future sessions on bread baking and food safety at Frederick area Extension venues.
Miss Dudley finalist in Maryland National Teen-Ager Pageant
Barbara Lynn Dudley 17 of Dawsonville is named a finalist for the 1978 Maryland District of Columbia National Teen-Ager Pageant to be held at Towson State University June 16 to 18. Sponsored by Norris Lumber and Fuel Poolesville Hilton Furniture Barnesville and Neutron Products Dickerson. The Maryland DC pageant selects state finalists to compete for Miss National Teen-Ager 1978 in Atlanta. Winners receive cash scholarship a Barbizon modeling scholarship and trip to the national pageant. Contestants judged on scholarship leadership poise personality and appearance with no swim suit or talent competition.
