Coastal bays face pollution from farms and development

A four year federal study by the EPA and Delaware Maryland finds bays along the coast heavily polluted by farming and development. Water quality is poor in 75 percent of bays, halting underwater grasses and shrinking habitats for fish, crabs, clams, and worms. Delaware bays show near disappearance of grasses. Chincoteague Bay remains relatively healthier.
