Missing man found dead in remote West Virginia woods
The body of Alvin Dean Stovall, 79, a former Frederick County man missing since March 1, was found Sunday near his car in a woodsy Paw Paw area of Hampshire County. Police said foul play is not suspected and an autopsy is planned. Stovall had recently moved and disappeared after dropping his wife Naomi at a Shepherdstown nursing home.

Frederick educator Dr D Wilbur Devilbiss dies at 92
Dr D Wilbur Devilbiss of Frederick Maryland beloved educator and administrator died Friday March 8 at Homewood Retirement Center. He was 92 and husband of Bernice Barbara Ryan Devilbiss. Born January 15 1904 in Johnsville he was the son of David McClellan and da Belle Etzler Devilbiss and the last of his immediate family. He attended a two room Johnsville school and rode to Libertytown for high school before finishing at Boys High School in Frederick then Western Maryland College.
