Local man Henry Little marks 87 with lifelong work ethic
Henry Little, born March 11, 1892 near McSherrystown Pa, turned 87 today while living with the Hartman family in Frederick. He spent over five decades in hard labor from hackman on Baltimore streets to the Ox Fibre Brush Co and gas mains, never taking a vacation until age 81 when muscular rheumatism ended his patrols. He celebrates alongside his great granddaughter Mary Catherine Hartman’s upcoming first birthday and recalls a rugged career while reading The News daily. He has a son Francis, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and remains active in St John’s Holy Name Society.
