A wind whipped fire at the C Earl Page farm on U S 15 near Adamstown killed three calves six hogs a bull and a bird dog and destroyed the calf barn and loafing shed. Firefighters from Carroll Manor Independents Juniors and Upper Montgomery County battled the flames for over four hours. Page reported the calf barn fire started about 7 15 am as he checked a fence, with the silo also smoking.
