Andujar apologizes over 1985 World Series incident
Joaquin Andujar apologized for his actions in Game 7 of the 1985 World Series after arguing with umpire Don Denkinger and being ejected. Commissioner Ueberroth fined him 500 dollars and suspended him 10 days in 1996. He later met Denkinger at home plate and called him a friend.

Lawsuit settled in teenage boxers death in West Virginia
Mercer County Circuit Judge William Bivens said the wrongful death suit by Margaret and Paul Pitzer against the Princeton Boxing Club and related associations ended with an out of court settlement. The case stemmed from Michael Pitzer, 17, collapsing after a February 1983 Golden Gloves bout and dying eight days later from brain injuries. Terms remain undisclosed.
