Town panel to review deadlocked subdivision zoning issue
Thurmont Planning and Zoning Board refers the unresolved Gateway subdivision dispute to town commissioners after finding preliminary site plans ignore conditions. Weinberg proposed 167 lots with access via Westview Drive, drawing objections over traffic and open space, while offering low density 8 000 square foot lots instead of required 12 000. The May 2 meeting will consider traffic limits and additional access to align with rezoning terms.
