Police Dept Law May Be Changed Again
The State Legislature will be asked to tighten Frederick City police laws by empowering the Chief and Mayor to suspend officers up to thirty days and adding conduct prejudicial to the force as a ground. The Police Commission would have final say on suspensions or discharges, with appeals to the Board of Aldermen. testimony would be confidential. a commission could hear extra cases if suspensions exceed thirty days.
