Income Tax Changes Outlined and State Police Graduates

The Revenue Act of 1964 cuts individual tax rates with a two step plan for 1964 and 1965, shifting withholding from 18 to 14 percent and prompting many taxpayers to adjust payments or withholding. Some filers may owe larger balances while refunds persist for others. Two Maryland State Police graduates, Trooper Donald R. Bartgis and Trooper Victor E.B. Wolfe, completed the 52nd Recruit Class at Pikesville with prior service and local ties.
