Blood drive exceeds Frederick County quota by 63 pints
Frederick County Blood Program reports 2 835 pints donated this year, 63 over the 2 772 target. On Tuesday 181 pints came from 207 donors with 26 deferred. 93 scheduled and 114 walk-ins including 80 multiple donors and 33 new donors. Fort Detrick workers featured among walk-ins. A donor roster of about 800 exists to meet emergencies, with 135 of Tuesday’s donors willing to donate if needed. Chairman James A. Grove praised the turnout and thanked contributors.

Twenty five older Boy Scouts and Explorers from the Francis Scott Key District join leaders on the 26th annual Philmont trip. Henry B.
