Tragic shooting misunderstanding ends in fatal misfire
A farmer recounts an incident where a woman mistook silhouettes in a tree for birds and, while watching from a window, allegedly fired a gun, injuring her husband. The tree stood about 20 yards from their house and most of the shot penetrated the branches. Eicholtz fired once before the error was realized. Authorities note the full extent of injuries may take days to determine. Meanwhile, Keymar youths form a baseball club, opening with wins over Bruceville and others, featuring players like Garber, Smith, Burkholder, Otto, Otte, Bowman, Hitchcock, and Otte.
