He accuses Cleveland of bartering with financiers, packing the cabinet with corporate agents, and supporting plutocracy while opposing income tax and reform measures. He argues reform requires rejecting Clevelandism and warns Democrats against mixed loyalties.

Wilkesbarre June 24 A miners union plan targets 11 resumed washeries between Pittston and Carbondale aiming to force a work quit. Local committees will canvass workers, many clerks and company employees, to halt operations. Negotiations and possible broader strikes loom as coal companies compile applicant rolls for future mining needs.
Three carloads of striking miners arrived in Roasuke Virginia with about 1500 strikers reported marching. Many sympathizers stayed to obtain overdue pay and then left the fields. No violence reported as strikers continue work stoppage.
