MedImmune weighs Maryland site amid private financing hurdles
MedImmune officials say final site choice hinges on private financing negotiations with GE Capital Corp and Fluor Daniel Inc. The Maryland offer remains competitive, with Frederick and Gaithersburg options on the table. If Maryland wins, manufacturing would stay in Frederick and create at least 120 jobs, while all operations could move if another site is chosen. MedImmune currently markets CytoGam and RespiGam with up to 20 products in development or trials.
