School board holds sole authority on closing schools

Thieves broke into Bare's restaurant on East Street during the night, forcing a rear window and taking contents from a pinball machine and $2 from the cash register. Minor Accidents Reported in Frederick City

Damage was minor in two accidents in Frederick Monday investigated by city police. A door of a double parked truck blew open as Ralph Kehne’s sedan passed, hitting the truck and causing about 25 dollars damage to Kehne’s vehicle. The truck driver Charles Litler Jr was charged with double parking. In a separate North Market Street collision Guy Weddle swerved to avoid a car, striking Charles Medinger’s parked Dodge with about 25 dollars damage to Medinger’s vehicle and 15 to Weddle’s bus. No charges were filed.
