Local designer Leonnie Nelson previews multicultural fashions
Jamaica native Leonnie Nelson, founder of All One Under the Sun, returns to the East with Leonnie’s Fashions and Designs Inc. She stages a June 20 fashion show at Baker Park during Caryama to showcase vibrant African motif fabrics blended with tunic styles. Her team includes design assistant Clarence Nickens, 19, as they craft dresses, wraps, and custom pieces while planning to market to retailers and fund community work.
