Judge settles church fight at New Shiloh Baptist in Maryland
In Baltimore County court Judge John G. Turnbull II ordered Rev Stephen L. Thomas to step aside as pastor of New Shiloh Baptist Church. Trustees and deacons cited bylaws granting the board power to dismiss, while the pastor argued the congregation should decide. The dispute escalated with resignations, door locks, and a service cancellation as the church seeks a path forward.
