Myersville approves 275000 budget with tax rate cut
Myersville town council unanimously approved a 275 288 budget for fiscal 1996, reducing the tax rate by one cent to 64 cents. The plan funds salaries, seminars, legal fees, a larger fire company donation, a new computer and copier, and a recreation and parks category with 23 000 for open space and park upkeep. Officials say reserves totaling 84 000 could cover capital needs though planning for sewer, water, or road projects is lacking. A town truck purchase was debated with an alternative of higher mileage pay for the maintenance worker.
